Product Description

3TPH Pharmaceutical Industry Ultrapure Water Machine Reverse Osmosis with EDI

Description of Pharmaceutical Water Purification System

EDI is a cost effective, environmentally friendly alternative to conventional post-RO ion ex-changer applications in high purity water treatment. It differs from other water purification technologies in that it is done without the use of chemical treatments and is usually a polishing treatment to reverse osmosis (RO). Electro-deionisation (EDI) is a continuous deionization process combining electrodialysis (ED) and ion-exchange(IE) membranes and resins for producing ultra pure water.

There are also EDI units that are often referred to as continuous electrodeionization (CEDI) since the electric current regenerates the resin mass continuously. CEDI technique can achieve very high purity, with conductivity below 0.1 μS/cm.

Main Process of Reverse Osmosis System with EDI System

Raw Water Pump   Provide the pressure to silica sand filter/active carbon filter;
Quartz Sand Filter   Get rid of turbidity, suspended matter, organic matter, colloid, ect;
Active Carbon Filter   Remove the color, free chloride, organic matter, harmful matter, ect;
Softener or Antiscale Dosing System   Reduce the hardness of water
Micron Filter Prevent any deposition of large Particles, most of the bacteria, and viruses into the RO membrane, The accuracy is 5um, for holding back any large particulates such as large iron, dust, suspended matter, impurity;
High Pressure Pump   Provide the high pressure to RO membrane;
Two Stage RO System   RO system is the main part of pure water treatment plant. The RO membrane's desalt rate can reach as high as 99%, it is capable of removing over 99% of ions, bacteria, particles and 98% of impurity;
EDI System   Make the electrical conductivity reduce to 0.1 m/cm by ion exchange;
Electrical Control System   PLC, touch screen.

Working Process of Pharmaceutical Water Purification System

Raw water → raw water pressure pump → multi-media filter → activated carbon filter → water softener → precision filter → first-stage reverse osmosis → PH adjustment → intermediate water tank → second-stage reverse osmosis (reverse osmosis membrane surface with positive charge )→Purification water tank→Pure water pump→UV sterilizer→Ozone generator→Microporous filter→Water point

EDI Ultra Pure Water RO Water Treatment Plant

EDI equipment is applied after the reverse osmosis system to replace the traditional mixed bed ion exchange technology (MB-DI) to produce stable ultrapure water. Compared with mixed ion exchange technology, EDI technology has the following advantages:
① Stable water quality
② Easy to realize fully automatic control
③ No shutdown due to regeneration
④ No need for chemical regeneration
⑤ Low operating cost
⑥ Small plant area
⑦ No sewage discharge

FRP Tank for Filter Housing or RO Storage Tank

Glass fiber reinforced plastic storage tank is a kind of glass fiber reinforced plastic product. It is a new type of composite material made of glass fiber as reinforcing agent, resin as binder, and winding machine controlled by microcomputer. FRP storage tanks have anti-corrosion, high strength, light weight and long life, because it also has the characteristics of flexible design and strong technology, and can be used in different industries such as chemical, environmental protection, food, medicine and other industries, and is gradually replacing carbon steel, Most market segments of stainless steel.

How Do Pharmaceutical Companies Choose Pure Water Equipment?

1. Pharmaceutical companies use a combination of ion exchange, reverse osmosis and ion exchange to obtain pure water, and then use distilled water to prepare water for injection. In the above-mentioned pharmaceutical water production process, ion exchange technology is still widely used as a means of deep desalination. However, when the ion exchange resin is regenerated, a large amount of waste acid and waste alkali will be produced, which will seriously pollute the environment and limit its development.
2. The removal rate of bacteria, pyrogens, viruses and organic matter in water by reverse osmosis membrane is 100%. Secondary reverse osmosis eliminates the use of ion exchange resins.

Pure water for medical use is stricter and more demanding.
1. It is often required that the resistance of ultrapure water should be higher than 15M. In order to ensure the safety of medical ultrapure water, the entire ultrapure water treatment equipment system is also composed of all stainless steel materials, and a sterilization device must be equipped before the water outlet.
2. Starting from the characteristics of ultra-pure water in the entire pharmaceutical industry, our company uses different technologies such as reverse osmosis and EDI to design different high-purity water treatment processes to meet the different requirements of high-purity water for different users.
