Description of Two-stage RO for Pharmaceutical Water Purification System

 

Reverse osmosis system is using city water as raw water, then treat water by Pre-filter (water softener is optional), reverse osmosis membrane. It can remove particle, colloid, organic impurity, heavy metal ion, bacteria, virus in water, and it can also remove 99% dissolved salt. The whole system desalination rate can reach 96%-99% to make permeated water conductivity<10 us/cm.

The second stage reverse osmosis system use the first stage reverse osmosis system output water as raw water to make water to be more pure. Normally output water conductivity<2 us/cm.

 

Working Process of Pharmaceutical Water Purification System

 

Raw water pump→ Quartz sand filter → Activated carbon filter→ Security filter→ High-pressure pump→ 1st RO system + EDI System + UV Sterilizer

 

Raw water pump   Provide the pressure to silica sandfilter/active carbon filter;
Quartz Sand filter   Get rid of turbidity, suspended matter, organic matter, colloid and so on;
Activated Carbon filter   Remove the color, free chloride, organic matter, harmful matter and so on;
Softener   Get rid of calcium and magnesium ions in original/source water, reduce water hardness;
Security filter   Prevent any deposition of large Particles, most of the bacteria, and viruses into the RO membrane, The accuracy is 5um, for holding back any large particulates such as large iron, dust, suspended matter, impurity;
High pressure pump   Provide the high pressure to RO membrane(at least 2.0 Mpa)
