NE4-NH3-1000 Electrochemical Gas Sensor For Industrial NH₃ Gas Concentration Indicators
NE4-NH3-1000 Electrochemical Gas Sensor
1. Detection Principle:
It belongs to an electrochemical gas sensor, composed of a sensing electrode, counter electrode, and reference electrode. Ammonia gas diffuses into the working electrode through the sensor's diaphragm, where it decomposes and is partially oxidized. Nitrogen is generated at the working electrode, and the resulting protons enter the counter electrode, reacting with dissolved oxygen in the electrolyte to form water. The concentration of ammonia gas is proportional to the current generated by the continuous reaction.
2. Characteristics:
- Fast response and high sensitivity.
- Good selectivity.
- Linear output and stable performance.
- High reliability and long service life.
- Excellent durability in high-temperature and high-humidity environments.
3. Detected Gas:
Ammonia (NH₃).
4. Applications:
- Industrial NH₃ gas concentration indicators.
- NH₃ gas alarms for industrial equipment.
- Handheld NH₃ gas leak detectors.
5. Electrical Characteristics:
- Typical Gas Sensitivity: 8±4 nA/ppm (at 20°C).
- Response Time (T90): < 120 seconds.
- Daily Repeatability: < ±10%.
- Annual Zero Drift: < 50 ppm NH₃.
- Zero Drift Temperature Dependence (-30°C to +50°C): < 75 ppm NH₃.
- Long-term Sensitivity Decay: < 2%/month.
- Expected Service Life: 24 months.
- Recommended Storage Time: < 6 months.
6. Cross Sensitivity:
- No response to CO, CO₂, Cl₂, NO, CH₄, C₂H₅OH, C₂H₄, etc.
- Slight cross sensitivity to H₂, SO₂, H₂S.
- No response to NO₂ in NE-NH3-1000 and NE-NH3-5000 (while NE-NH3 may show some response to NO₂).
7. Durability:
- Humidity Change Impact: When exposed to dry and humid environments, a 5 ppm output current variation is observed under sudden environmental changes.
- High-temperature Dependence: Good durability in high-temperature dry environments (50°C).
- High-temperature & High-humidity Durability: Maintains performance at 50°C and 90% RH.
- Low-temperature Durability: Operable at -20°C.
- Thermal Shock Test: After 10 cycles of storage at -20°C and 50°C (30 minutes each), the sensor shows minimal performance degradation.
