Working Principle:
The SnO₂ sensitive material of the MQ138 gas sensor has low conductivity in clean air. When volatile organic compounds (VOCs) or other target gases are present, the sensor's conductivity increases with the rise of the gas concentration. Users can convert the change of conductivity into a corresponding output signal of gas concentration through a simple circuit.
Applications:
- Widely used in domestic VOC gas alarms, which can monitor VOC pollutants harmful to human health in the home environment.
- Applied to industrial VOC gas leakage alarms, which can detect VOC gas leakage in industrial production processes to ensure production safety and environmental protection.
