The sensitive element consists of an integrated heater and a tin oxide (SnO 2 ) semiconductor on an alumina substrate. When the detected gas exists in the air, the higher the concentration of the gas is, the higher the conductivity of the sensor will be. Using a simple circuit, the conductivity change can be converted into a signal output corresponding to the gas concentration.

TGS2630 is not only widely used in the detection of R-404a and R-410a, the most commonly used refrigerants in air conditioners and refrigeration equipment, but also has high sensitivity to non-flammable refrigerant gases such as R-32 and R-1234yf, which can prevent climate warming. . Due to the built-in filter layer, the sensitivity to volatile alcohol (a common interfering gas in the living environment) is very low, reflecting high selectivity to non-flammable refrigerants. Due to the small size of the sensitive element, the heater current of TGS2630 only needs 56mA, and the shell adopts standard TO-5 metal package.
