The combination valve controls steering clutch and brake functions. When the bulldozer needs to turn, hydraulic oil fills the oil cavity between the steering clutch piston and hub. Oil pressure pushes the piston, driving the pressure plate leftward to loosen friction and gear plates, disengaging torque transmission. This causes the bulldozer to lose power on the left side, turning left under right track propulsion. When steering completes, releasing the pull rod allows hydraulic oil to return, re-engaging the steering clutch for straight-line operation.
