In addition to random column packing and mass transfer trays, structured packing represents another group of products used in the field of mass and heat transfer processes. Structured packing is commonly used in conventional (N) and high capacity (S, SP) packing geometries.
 
The characteristics of plate hole packing are: roll hole plate corrugated packaging (also known as perforated plate corrugated packaging), made of 0.1mm~0.12mm metal sheet. Because there are more holes on the surface, the residence time of vapor-liquid in the packing surface is prolonged, the vapor-liquid communication in the tower is more sufficient, and the separation power is improved. The standard of packaging is similar to corrugated packaging. Packing aperture is 0.4-0.5mm. It is generally made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and is used in the petroleum industry, fine chemicals and medical equipment.

Plastic structured packing is RPP series. Similar to metal fillers, there are traditional N series and high performance S and SP series.
