Foundry Usage QDY Overhead Bridge Ladle Crane Description
Due to the high risk level, special safety features are designed for ladle cranes transporting molten metal. The main hoist mechanism consists of four independent rope winders, dual service brakes on the main shaft and a backup brake acting on the rope drum. The wire rope balance beam is equipped with a damping device that slows down the balance beam inclination in the event of a wire rope failure. The main hoist also utilizes the upper emergency stop limit switch. In addition to this overload protection, an "emergency stop" system bypassed from the PLC, derailment brackets, main crane overspeed monitoring and end limit switches are automatically standard features of the equipment.
