HDD Reamers, also known as Horizontal Hole Openers. The application of this drilling tool is to enlarge the pilot hole in Horizontal Directional Drilling(HDD) projects. HDD is used when trenching and excavating is not practical. This drilling technology allows for a steerable trenchless way to drill underground.
There are three stages:
1> the first stage is to drill a small diameter pilot hole.
2> The second stage is enlarge the hole with a larger diameter cutting tool called an HDD Reamer,Rock Reamer or Hole Opener.
3> The third stage is inserting the casing pipe or other product into the enlarged hole.
Cutting Structure
Reaming bit mainly consists of four or more cones. Main cutting tooth is Tungsten Carbide insert tooth and steel tooth welded new-type wear-resistant alloy. High quality tungsten carbide tooth of new formula and new technique increases the service life of reaming bit. The pilot is roller cone bit or drag bit.
Seal and Lubrication
The bearing seal applys high performance O-ring seal or metal sealed bearing and imported lubrication grease special for bit.
