1. Introduction
S32305 also called UNS S32205(022Cr23Ni5Mo3N/F60), it is a duplex stainless steel with ferrite - austenite microstructure. The alloy is composed of approximately 40-50% ferrite in the annealed state.
Compared with 317L stainless steel, UNS S32205 has excellent resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion. The alloy has excellent corrosion resistance to seawater and sulphuric acid at most concentrations. In addition, UNS S32205 duplex stainless steel is also resistant to sulfide stress corrosion cracking (acidic gas environment).
The high quality and performance of UNS S32205 is widely attributed to the high content of chromium as well as nitrogen and molybdenum.
Duplex stainless steel 2205 (UNS S32205) is a kind of chromium nickel molybdenum nitrogen stainless steel.
The UNS S32205 provides high strength and corrosion resistance at temperatures up to 316°C.
Super Austenitic stainless steel (904L stainless steel plate) is a high alloying Austenitic stainless steel with a very low carbon content. It is highly resistant to corrosion in dilute sulfuric acid and is designed for harsh corrosion conditions. With high chromium content and sufficient nickel content, the addition of copper makes it highly acid-resistant, especially highly resistant to chloride interstitial corrosion and stress corrosion cracking, and less prone to corrosion spots and cracks, resistance to pitting slightly superior to other steel, with good machinability and weldability, can be used for pressure vessels.
