1. Introduction     

304L is a kind of universal stainless steel, which is widely used in the production of equipment and parts requiring good comprehensive performance (corrosion resistance and formability).

As low C 304 steel, its corrosion resistance is similar to 304 steel in general condition, but its grain boundary corrosion resistance is excellent after welding or stress. In the case of no heat treatment, also can maintain good corrosion resistance, generally under 400 use (non-magnetic, use temperature -196 degrees Celsius to 800 degrees Celsius)

It can be used in chemical, coal and petroleum industries with high requirements of grain boundary corrosion resistance, such as open-air machines, building materials, heat-resistant parts and parts with difficulty in heat treatment.

The development of 304L stainless steel, has made 304L stainless steel corrosion resistance, appearance, processing, strength and other characteristics far more than other materials, and, many surface treatment of stainless steel, can get colorful color and shape, which makes a great contribution to the development of stainless steel.
