How to maintain a permanent magnet brush motor?

It is a complex problem to use and maintain a permanent magnet brush motor. The common problems are summarized as follows:

(1) Check the wear of the carbon brush, especially where it is not easy to see the lower part of the commutator. When the carbon brush is worn to the limit position, it shall be replaced. The remaining height of the carbon brush shall be subject to the life line of the carbon brush.

(2) Check whether the accessories of the carbon brush, the pressure finger of the brush holder and the pressing plate at the top of the brush are broken, whether the carbon brush is braided, whether the wire is burnt and oxidized, and regularly check the temperature change of the carbon brush holder, collector ring or commutator.
