PVDF fluorocarbon resin refers to polyvinylidene fluoride resin, which has good chemical resistance, high temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, weather resistance, ultraviolet resistance, radiation resistance and other characteristics, as well as good piezoelectricity, thermoelectricity and other special electrical properties, and is an important thermoplastic resin matrix for outdoor weather resistant building coatings.
FEVE fluorocarbon resin is a thermosetting coating resin formed by copolymerization of fluoroolefin and alkyl vinyl ether or alkyl vinyl ester. The fluoroolefin unit provides weather resistance and corrosion resistance, while the vinyl unit provides solubility, transparency, luster, hardness and flexibility.Similarities: Both are thermosetting fluoropolymer resins.
Differences: In terms of physical structure, PVDF has better flexibility than FEVE, but poor adhesion. FEVE is stronger than PVDF in hardness, self-lubricating and other indicators, and the choice of soluble solvent is more than PVDF. FEVE is suitable for independent use. PVDF can only be mixed with acrylic resin or alkyd and dissolved in a few good solvents, such as NMP, before coating.
