Superior to 304 stainless steel, with excellent resistance to pulp and paper production environments, marine atmospheres, and corrosive industrial conditions.
Maintains oxidation resistance up to 1600°C intermittent use and 1700°C continuous operation. Enhanced carbide precipitation resistance compared to standard 316 stainless steel.
Excellent weldability using all standard methods. 316L stainless steel does not require post-weld annealing for corrosion resistance maintenance.
