254 SMO is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel, developed for use in sea water and other aggressive environments containing chloride.
Properties of Alloy 254 SMO:
• Great resistance against pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion, PRE = ≥42,5
• High resistance against general corrosion and stress corrosion
• Higher durability than conventional austenitic stainless steel types
• Good weldability
