304/304L Stainless Steel Strip is the two most widely used stainless steel materials today, along with 316. 304 grade is the standard "18/8" austenitic stainless steel. It has excellent forming and welding properties. 304L Stainless Steel Strip is a low-carbon version of 304, which does not require post-weld annealing and is, therefore, widely used for heavy-duty components. 304 can be severely deep drawn without intermediate annealing and is widely used to manufacture drawn stainless steel parts such as sinks, hollowware, etc.
