430 Stainless Steel Strip
430 stainless steel strip is by far the most popular of all pure chromium stainless steel sheets and is the general-purpose alloy of the ferritic class. This grade is also known as “17 Chrome stainless steel” and has good resistance to mild and atmospheric corrosive and oxidizing environments. 430 stainless steel can enhance its corrosion resistance and improve reflectivity by bright annealing. 430 stainless steel has moderate ductility to limit forming, bending, and welding characteristics, and can be drawn moderately. This alloy is highly magnetic, resists fouling at 1500°F, and has better resistance to dry sulfurous gases than chromium-nickel stainless steel types.
