The most common grade specification for ETP copper sheets is C11000, which is often referred to as Oxygen-Free High Conductivity (OFHC) copper. The C11000 grade is recognized for its exceptional electrical conductivity and is widely used in the production of electrical conductors, bus bars, connectors, and various electronic components.

Here are the general characteristics of ETP (C11000) copper:

Chemical Composition (Typical):

• Copper (Cu): 99.90% minimum

Physical Properties:

• Density: 0.323 lb/in³ (8.94 g/cm³)
• Melting Point: Approximately 1,981°F (1,083°C)
• Thermal Conductivity: 231 Btu·ft/(hr·ft²·°F) at 68°F (401 W/m·K at 20°C)
• Electrical Conductivity: Approximately 100% IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard) at 68°F (20°C)

Mechanical Properties:

• Tensile Strength (annealed): 32,000 psi (220 MPa) minimum
• Yield Strength (annealed): 5,000 psi (35 MPa) minimum
• Elongation (in 2 inches, annealed): 40% minimum

• Grain Size: ETP copper typically has a small, uniform grain size, contributing to its excellent electrical properties.
• Corrosion Resistance: ETP copper exhibits good corrosion resistance in various environments.
