Products Description
254 SMO, as a high alloy austenitic stainless steel, excels in corrosion resistance, including in seawater, and acidic solutions, especially in environments containing halides such as chloride solutions. S31254 stainless steel plate is widely used in chemical processing, offshore oil and gas, pulp and paper
Due to the high nitrogen content, 254 smo material features better mechanical strength than other types of austenitic stainless steel. In addition, 254SMO steel features high ductility, impact strength and good weldability. The high molybdenum content contained within allows 254 smo stainless steel to acquire a high oxidation rate during annealing, resulting in a rougher surface than common stainless steel after pickling. However, this does no harm to the corrosion resistance of 254 smo stainless steel.
