420 stainless steel strip features
420 stainless steel is a martensitic stainless steel with the following characteristics:
- High hardness and wear resistance: Due to its high carbon content (0.15-0.40%), high hardness and wear resistance can be obtained after heat treatment.
- Corrosion resistance: It has good corrosion resistance in the general environment, but poor performance in strong corrosive environments (such as seawater or acidic media).
- Processing performance: hardness and strength can be adjusted by heat treatment, but cold processing performance is poor.
- Polishing performance: Smooth surface after polishing, suitable for decorative use.

- Carbon (C) : 0.15-0.40%
- Silicon (Si) : ≤1.00%
- Manganese (Mn) : ≤1.00%
- Phosphorus (P) : ≤0.040%
- Sulfur (S) : ≤0.030%
- Chromium (Cr) : 12.0-14.0%
