SA516 GR70 steel plate comply to ASME SA516/SA516M specification which pressure vessel plates,carbon steel for moderate and low temperature service.P355GH steel plate comply to BS EN 10028-2 specification which flat products made of steels for elevated temperature pressure vessel purposes.So SA516 GR70 steel plates and P355GH steel plates are both non-alloy pressure vessel steel plates.
Comparasion mechincal property and chemical composition from the below table,EN 10028-2 P355GH steel plate can be totally equivalent to ASME SA516 GR70.For heat treatment,P355GH steel plate must be done Normalized for any thickness,and ASME SA516 GR70 steel plate only require to be done normalized for thickness over 1.50 inch (40mm).
Ultrasonic examination for SA516 GR70 steel plate and P355GH steel plate shall be done comply to ASME SA435/SA435M,SA577/SA577M OR SA578/SA578M.
