Manufacturing Process
Grade 314 stainless steel undergoes heat treatment through annealing at 1038-1149°C (1900-2100°F), followed by water quenching or rapid air cooling. Hardening is achieved exclusively through cold working. For optimal machinability, we recommend using coolant and high-speed turning tools.
Forging, flanging, or working requires slow heating to 871°C (1600°F), thorough soaking, followed by rapid heating to 1093-1232°C (2000-2250°F).
