DIN 34CrNiMo6/1.6582 alloy steel is a high-strength nickel-molybdenum alloy steel with excellent comprehensive mechanical properties. This material is manufactured and supplied as forged round bars, square/flat bars, rollers, shafts, and blocks, or as rolled round rods.

Heat Treatment Processes
Hardening & Tempering:
- Heat uniformly to 850°C
- Quench in oil
- Heat to 550°C and soak for minimum 2 hours
- Cool in furnace
Annealing:
- Heat to 800-850°C
- Cool slowly to 550°C
- Complete annealing in air
Normalizing:
- Heat to 850°C
- Cool to room temperature in air
Forging Instructions
- Preheat material carefully
- Raise forging temperature to 1150-1200°C
- Maintain forging temperature above 850°C
Quality Certification
- Chemical composition per DIN 7527-6, EN 10250-3
- Mechanical properties testing
- Non-metallic inclusions analysis
- Grain size: Minimum 5, preferred 8 (DIN 50601)
- Ultrasonic testing 360° complete round testing (EN 10228-3)
