Cold-rolled steel sheet is the abbreviation of cold-rolled plain carbon structural plate, also known as cold-rolled sheet, commonly referred to as cold plate. Cold plate is manufactured from ordinary carbon structural steel hot rolled steel strip, processed through further cold rolling to achieve thickness less than 4mm. Due to rolling at room temperature, no iron oxide is produced, resulting in superior surface quality and high dimensional accuracy. Combined with annealing treatment, the mechanical and technological properties exceed those of hot-rolled steel sheet, making it ideal for many applications, particularly in household electrical appliance manufacturing where it has gradually replaced hot-rolled steel sheet.
