Semi-friable alumina abrasive grain is especially designed to make abrasive belts for metalworking and woodworking. We introduced the state of the are crushing technique so that the semi-friable abrasive is much sharper than others, especially suitable for woodworking on paper and cloth backings, After thermal treatment the semi-friable can be used for metal grinding and polishing. The field tests on metal grinding belts showed that the performance was the same as Europe-made abrasive grain. It cuts very fast and lasts longer. We also introduced SPC process and quality control, the stability of production and quality achieved the same level as Europe and USA.
