Shallow Liquid Flow (NFT): The depth of nutrient solution is only a few millimeters, and the liquid flow flows through the vegetable roots in a film. One part of the vegetable roots is immersed in the shallow flowing nutrient solution, and the other part is exposed to the moisture in the planting tank, which can better meet the oxygen demand of root respiration. Planting troughs should have a certain slope gradient (about 1: 75). Shallow liquid flow cultivation is widely used on some crops such as lettuce and tomato.
