Product Description and Application
N6,N5.N4 is also known as pure nickel
Pure nickel has stable chemical properties. It will not react with oxygen at room temperature but there is a slight oxidation when the temperature reaches 500℃. Because nickel has a significant passivation tendency, it also shows good corrosion resistance in alkaline environment and non-oxidizing inorganic acid environment at room temperature. The standard electrode potential of nickel is very similar with that of hydrogen, so it is difficult to escape hydrogen in a non-oxidizing environment. The corrosion rate of nickel increases sharply in the presence of oxidant and is also unstable in acetic acid. Pure nickel has excellent machining properties, good shaping and ductility, which can be processed into plate, strip, pipe, wire, bar and so on.
