The polarizing beam splitter prism is an optical element which is formed by plating a multilayer filmstructure on the inclined surface of a right-angle prism, and then gluing to form a cubic structure.By utilizing the property that the transmittance of P polarized light is 1 and the transmittance of Spolarized light is less than 1 when light is incident at Brewster angle, after the light passes throughthe multilayer film structure for many times at Brewster angle, the obtained P polarized componentis completely transmitted, and most of the S polarized component is reflected (at least more than90%).
Polarization beam splitter prism has the characteristics of small stress, high extinction ratio, goodimaging quality and small beam deflection angle. The wavelength covers 420-1600nm. It can beused for polarization, polarization detection, light intensity adjustment and other occasions.
