C1020 C10200 Copper Alloy Sheet Plate For Building Construction
Melting and pouring copper in the presence of carbon or carbonaceous gases so the oxygen can be absorbed produce C102 copper. The high purity and absence of deoxidizers accounts for its average conductivity of 101% IACS. Oxygen Free High Conductivity Copper (OFHC) 102 is free from hydrogen embrittlement when heated in a reducing atmosphere.
C10200 has conductivity 101% IACS, the highest among coppers. Used for electrical and electronic conductors, wave guides, cavity resonators, superconductor matrixes, vacuum tube and solid-state devices, and glass-to-metal seals. The machinability rating of this alloy is 20.
Copper 102 is an oxygen-free copper with extremely high electrical conductivity and good formability. These characteristics make it particularly useful for electrical connectors. Copper 102 can be deep-drawn from the annealed temper.It is corrosion resistant in normal atmosphere and water.
