UREA 1.4466 chemical composition has been optimised for specific uses in Urea plants. It is a 310L modified austenitic stainless steel with low carbon, low silicon and high nitrogen additions in order to stabilize and strengthen the austenitic phase.The alloy is particularly designed for improved corrosion resistance properties in urea carbonate environments including strippers. The grade is also well designed for resistance in wet corrosive conditions due to its high contents of chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen (PREN > 33).
1.4361 is used for parts exposed to hot, concentrated nitric acid or sulfuric acid. Resistant to intergranular corrosion, which develops particularly in very concentrated (above 90%) nitric environments up to boiling point, also in the presence of oxidising ions.
1.4521 steel is used for parts produced by cold forming, such as bolts, nuts, hot water tanks, chimney ducts and heat exchangers.The steel is suitable for underwater applications, provided that the concentration of Cl-chlorides does not exceed 200 ppm. For hot water or more conservative design requirements, the limit is lowered.The steel belongs to welding group 7.1 according to ISO. Weldability good for small cross-sections, limited for larger ones. Prior to welding, heating is recommended.
EN 1.4818 stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel formulated for primary forming into wrought products. Cited properties are appropriate for the solution annealed (AT) condition. 1.4818 is the EN numeric designation for this material. X6CrNiSiNCe19-10 is the EN chemical designation.
It has a moderately low electrical conductivity among wrought austenitic stainless steels. In addition, it has a moderately high thermal conductivity and a moderately high tensile strength.
