Glycol Process

Triethylene glycol or diethylene glycol is used to absorb and remove water from natural gas, which is the most commonly used method for natural gas dehydration.
Glycol compounds have good water absorption, including ethylene glycol (eg), diethylene glycol (DEG), triethylene glycol (TEG) and tetraethylene glycol (Treg). Because TEG dehydration has greater dew point drop and lower investment and operation cost, it is widely used.
Ethylene glycol is mainly used to inject natural gas to prevent hydrate formation;
Diethylene glycol and triethylene glycol are applicable to the dehydration of natural gas with large flow and large dew point drop requirements in the centralized treatment station.

Features:

TEG Dehydration refers to that the dehydrated natural gas comes out from the top of the absorption tower and goes out of the unit after heat exchange and pressure regulation through the lean liquid dry gas heat exchanger.

TEG is released from the bottom of the absorber. After entering the pressure regulating device, the heat exchanger enters the heat exchanger of the TEG rich and poor liquid heat exchanger. After heat transfer, it enters the TEG regeneration tower. In the regeneration system, TEG is thickening. After regeneration, the TEG alcohol poor liquid is cooled by three alcohol glycol rich and poor liquid heat exchanger and cooled into the circulating pump to adjust the pressure. Here we make up TEG, and the TEG after pressure regulation enters the dry gas lean liquid heat exchanger and re-enters the top of the dehydration absorption tower. In this way, the process completes the absorption, regeneration and circulation of TEG. Among them, the gas water vapor and a small amount of hydrocarbon gas discharged from the top of TEG regeneration tower.
