Equipment Structure and Operating Principle
The horizontal spiral sedimentation centrifuge operates as a continuous high-efficiency centrifugal separation and dehydration system. The drum and spiral rotate at high speed in the same direction, creating a powerful centrifugal force field for efficient material separation.
Separation Process
- Material enters through feeding tube into conveying screw inner cylinder
- Accelerated material enters rotating drum under centrifugal force
- Heavier solid phases deposit on drum wall forming sediment layer
- Conveying screw pushes solid phase to cone end for discharge
- Lighter liquid phases form inner liquid ring and overflow through discharge ports
- Continuous operation: feeding, separation, washing, and discharge at full speed
