Structure and Operating Principle
The horizontal spiral sedimentation centrifuge (also known as horizontal screw centrifuge) is a continuous operation, high-efficiency centrifugal separation and dehydration equipment with horizontal spiral discharge.
Centrifuge Types
Horizontal screw centrifuges are categorized into two main types: horizontal spiral filter centrifuges and horizontal spiral sedimentation centrifuges.
Application Scope
This equipment is suitable for dewatering sludge from industrial and civil sewage treatment, and is widely used in chemical, light industry, pharmaceutical, food, and environmental protection industries.
Working Principle
The drum and spiral rotate at high speed in the same direction. Material is continuously fed through the inner cylinder, accelerated into the rotating drum where centrifugal force separates heavier solid phases that form sediment layers. The spiral conveyor pushes solids to discharge ports while lighter liquid phases form inner rings that overflow through liquid discharge ports.
