Structure and Operating Principle
The horizontal spiral sedimentation centrifuge, also known as horizontal screw centrifuge, is a continuous operation centrifugal separation and dehydration equipment featuring horizontal spiral discharge.
Centrifuge Types
Horizontal screw centrifuges are categorized into horizontal spiral filter centrifuges and horizontal spiral sedimentation centrifuges.
Application Scope
This equipment is suitable for dewatering sludge in industrial and civil sewage treatment, and is widely used across chemical, light industry, pharmaceutical, food processing, and environmental protection industries.
Working Principle
The drum and spiral rotate at high speed in the same direction. Material is continuously fed into the conveying screw inner cylinder via the feeding tube, then enters the rotating drum after acceleration. Under centrifugal force, heavier solid phases deposit to form a sediment layer on the drum wall. The conveying screw continuously pushes deposited solids to the cone end, discharging them through the slag outlet. Lighter liquid phases form an inner liquid ring that overflows from the drum end and exits through the liquid discharge port. The machine operates continuously for feeding, separation, washing, and discharge at full speed.
