Structure and Principle
The horizontal spiral sedimentation centrifuge, also known as horizontal screw centrifuge, is a continuous operation centrifugal separation and dehydration equipment featuring horizontal spiral discharge.
Type
Horizontal screw centrifuges are categorized into horizontal spiral filter centrifuges and horizontal spiral sedimentation centrifuges.
Scope of Application
Suitable for dewatering sludge in industrial and civil sewage treatment, and widely used in chemical, light industry, food processing, environmental protection, and other industries.
Working Principle
The drum and spiral rotate at high speed in the same direction. Material is continuously fed into the conveying screw inner cylinder via the feeding tube, then enters the rotating drum. Under centrifugal force, heavier solid phases deposit on the drum wall forming a sediment layer. The conveying screw continuously pushes deposited solids to the cone end and discharges them through the slag port. Lighter liquid phases form an inner liquid ring that overflows from the drum end and exits through the liquid discharge port. The machine operates continuously for feeding, separation, washing, and discharge at full speed.
