Introduction
A vacuum cooler is a cooling and processing equipment that places vegetables, flowers, meat, cooked food, etc. in a vacuum chamber and uses a vacuum pump to extract air and water vapor in the vacuum chamber to reduce the pressure inside the vacuum box. This equipment is called a vacuum precooler.
The principle of the vacuum precooler: put the agricultural products to be precooled into the vacuum box. After a vacuum treatment, they will be under Low-pressure area. The boiling point of water will decrease, the latent heat of evaporation will increase, and the free water on the surface of the cooled agricultural products will vaporize, taking away their own and environmental heat, so as to achieve the cooling effect.
Why carrots need to be pre-chilled/pre-cooled
The vacuum cooler can eliminate the field heat of carrot within 1 hour after picking. It only takes 50~60 minutes to reach the required refrigerated low temperature of 0-10 degrees. The material used is generally carbon steel. Some customers with high requirements may customize stainless steel, while ordinary cold storage takes 10-12 hours, or even longer.
