The Olympus PCF-H190DI is a slim high-definition video colonoscope from the 190 generation, with an 11.7 mm insertion tube, 1655 mm total length and a 2.8 mm working channel. Its small insertion tube makes it suitable for paediatric patients and for adults with a narrow or fixed colon, while the modern CCD matrix at the distal end produces full-HD images with markedly lower interference and image noise than earlier generations — a real advantage when inspecting small flat lesions. The 170° field of view is unusually wide for a slim colonoscope.

Confirm the processor generation before ordering — the 190-series scopes require the matching Olympus video system and light source. Colonoscopes carry high bioburden, so manual cleaning must include channel brushing, flushing and a leak test before every case, followed by the full disinfection sequence. Dry the channel with air to protect the distal CCD, and store hanging vertically with the insertion tube uncoiled.

Each scope is inspected before dispatch for optics clarity, angulation, channel patency and insertion tube condition; image verification uses a compatible processor where available.
