The J0830B is a 30° laparoscopic telescope with a 10 mm diameter, used for abdominal surgery. The 30° viewing angle is the general-purpose laparoscopy configuration: it gives a wide field of vision inside the abdomen and lets the surgeon look across and past structures rather than only straight at them, which improves manoeuvrability without the extreme perspective of a 70° optic. The 10 mm shaft carries a full light bundle, so the image stays bright when the cavity is deep or when bleeding has reduced illumination.
