The Olympus A22003A is a 4 mm rigid cystoscope with a 70° direction of view and a 28 cm working length, used for diagnostic and surgical procedures in urology. The 70° oblique view is a deliberate choice: it looks forward and to the side at once, which is what the bladder wall and the ureteric orifices require — a straight 0° optic tends to look past the lesion that is being approached, while the 70° view keeps the wall and the instrument tip in the same frame.
