On September 4, 2018, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) announced a new batch of consultation lists of SVHCs for REACH regulations, totaling 6 substances. Public consultation will end on October 19, 2018.

What is the difference between the effective time of REACH regulations and RoHS directives?

REACH regulations SVHC are generally updated twice a year and need to go through a series of evaluation processes, but since REACH is a regulation, it has legal effect once it is announced and takes effect, and if it is violated, it will be punished accordingly.

RoHS is a directive, which needs to be converted into the laws of each country by EU member states before it has legal effect, so the effective time of each EU country is also different.
