Introduction

Color-coated aluminum, as the name implies, involves applying a colored coating to the surface of aluminum sheets or coils. Common types include fluorocarbon color-coated aluminum (color-coated aluminum coil) and polyester color-coated aluminum (color-coated aluminum coil). This material is extensively used in aluminum-plastic panels, aluminum single panels, aluminum honeycomb panels, aluminum ceilings, roofing surfaces, edges and corners, beverage cans, and electronic products. It boasts stable performance, is resistant to corrosion, and can maintain its appearance for up to 30 years after treatment. With a low weight per unit volume compared to other metal materials, color-coated aluminum is currently a popular choice of material.

Performance

Polyester resin is synthesized using polymer chains containing acetyl groups as monomers. Alcohol-acid resins and UV absorbers are added. According to the glossiness, there are sub-gloss and high-gloss series. This imparts a rich color palette to colored aluminum products, along with excellent glossiness and smoothness. It also offers superior texture and feel, adding depth and a three-dimensional effect. The coating provides protection against exposure to UV radiation, wind, rain, frost, and ice, as well as thermal variations, freeze-thaw cycles, corrosive gases, and microbes.
This coating is particularly suitable for indoor decoration and advertising boards.
