Types of Coatings for PPGI and PPGL
Polyester (PE): good adhesion, colourful, wide range of formability and outdoor durability, medium chemical resistance, low cost.
Silicone Modified Polyester (SMP): Good abrasion and heat resistance, as well as good exterior durability and resistance to chalking, gloss retention, general flexibility, medium cost.
Highly durable polyester (HDP): excellent colour retention and UV resistance, outstanding outdoor durability and anti-chalking properties, good film adhesion, colourful, cost-effective.
Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF): excellent colour retention and UV resistance, excellent outdoor durability and anti-chalking properties, excellent solvent resistance, good formability, stain resistance, limited colours, high cost.
Polyurethane (PU): Polyurethane coatings are characterised by high abrasion resistance, high corrosion resistance and high vandalism resistance. Under normal conditions, the shelf life can be more than 20 years. It is mainly used in buildings with severe environmental corrosion.
