Products Introduction

Color coated sheet coil starts with a substrate, which can be hot rolled, galvanized, aluminum-zinc plated, cold rolled, tinned, stainless steel, or other materials. After surface pretreatment (degreasing and chemical treatment), one or more layers of liquid paint are applied using a roller coating method. The sheet is then baked and cooled to produce coated steel, which is made into color coated coils. These coils are primarily used in building roofs, walls, steel structure plants, and home appliances, as well as in purification and clean plants. Common specifications range from 0.2 to 1.0 mm in thickness, with common domestic widths of 1000 and 1200 mm, and main export widths of 940, 1200, 1219, and 1250 mm.

Colour Coated Coil Coating Types:

1. Polyester (PE)
   • Description: Offers good adhesion, a wide range of colors, and is highly formable. It provides moderate outdoor durability and chemical resistance.
   • Advantages: Cost-effective solution suitable for applications requiring vibrant colors and basic weather resistance.
2. Silicone Modified Polyester (SMP)
   • Description: SMP coatings feature good film hardness, abrasion resistance, and heat resistance. They exhibit excellent exterior durability, resistance to chalking, gloss retention, and moderate flexibility.
   • Advantages: Balances durability with cost-effectiveness, making it ideal for applications needing enhanced weather resistance and aesthetic appeal.
3. High Durability Polyester (HDP)
   • Description: HDP coatings offer superior color retention, UV resistance, and outstanding outdoor durability. They also provide excellent resistance to chalking and maintain good film adhesion.
   • Advantages: Known for rich colors, extended lifespan, and excellent cost performance, suitable for environments demanding long-term color and protection.
4. Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF)
   • Description: PVDF coatings excel in color retention, UV resistance, and outdoor durability. They offer exceptional resistance to chalking, solvent resistance, and dirt resistance. However, they are available in limited colors due to their high cost.
   • Advantages: Ideal for architectural applications requiring the highest level of performance, such as monumental buildings, where durability and aesthetic longevity are paramount.

These coating types cater to diverse needs across industries, providing varying levels of durability, color options, and cost considerations to meet specific environmental and aesthetic requirements.

Colour Coated Coil Usage: 

Colour coated coil has light weight, beautiful and good anti-corrosion properties, and can be directly processed, the colour is generally divided into grey and white, sea blue, brick red, mainly used in advertising, construction, home appliance industry, electrical appliances industry, furniture industry and transport industry.

The coatings used for colour coated rolls are selected according to the use of different environments with suitable resins, such as polyester silicone modified polyester, polyvinyl chloride plastisol, polyvinylidene chloride and so on. Users can choose according to the use.
