High Performance PCTFE Rod Chemical Resistant Material
PCTFE rod resists attack by most chemicals, a property that is exhibited due to the presence of its high fluorine content. It is oxidation resistant because it does not have any hydrogen atoms.
The main field of application of PCTFE is cryogenics due to the fact that it is the fluoropolymer that best retains its mechanical properties at extremely low temperatures and is therefore the least fragile of the fluoropolymers.
PCTFE is incompatible with alkaline metals and in some cases with organic amines. Its use is not recommended at temperatures above 150°C.
application:
1. Contact with highly corrosive media, sealing and gasket materials of high-pressure systems, transparent materials for observation windows, etc.
2. Electrical insulation materials, etc.
3. Low molecular weight PCTFE is used as sealing fluid, grease for highly corrosive media and balancing fluid for navigation gyros.
PCTFE rod offers outstanding chemical resistance and cold flow resistance, making it ideal for demanding applications.
