Pneumatic Operation
The positioner utilizes an I/P module with pneumatic amplifier to control pneumatic actuators. The proven I/P module proportionally converts the permanent electrical positioning signal from the CPU into a pneumatic signal that adjusts a 3/3-way valve. This provides continuous air flow adjustment for pressurizing or depressurizing the actuator, delivering excellent control performance.
Fail-Safe Functionality
In case of electrical power supply failure, the positioner output 1 is depressurized, allowing the pneumatic actuator's return spring to move the valve to the defined safe position. For double-acting actuators, output 2 is additionally pressurized to ensure proper safety positioning.
