Nickel 201 N02201 2.4068 Alloy Overview
Nickel 201 alloy is a commercially pure wrought alloy with properties similar to Nickel 200, featuring lower carbon content to prevent embrittlement at high temperatures above 600°F.
Corrosion Resistance Properties
This alloy demonstrates excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, and dry gases at room temperature, with outstanding performance in caustic alkalis up to molten states. It maintains good resistance in acid, alkaline, and neutral salt solutions, though oxidising salt solutions may cause severe attack.
Forming and Manufacturing
Nickel 201 supports both hot forming (1200°F to 2250°F) and cold forming operations. With lower base hardness and reduced work-hardening rate, it's particularly suitable for cold forming applications.
