MONEL K500 combines the exceptional corrosion resistance of MONEL 400 with significantly increased strength and hardness through aluminum and titanium additions and thermal age-hardening processes.
Key Performance Advantages
- 3x higher yield strength and 2x greater tensile strength compared to MONEL 400
- Maintains strength up to 1200°F (649°C) while remaining ductile down to 400°F (204°C)
- Melting range: 2400-2460°F (1316-1349°C)
- Spark resistant and non-magnetic to -200°F (-129°C)
- Can be further strengthened by cold working prior to precipitation hardening
