The BK1120 EtherCAT bus coupler connects EtherCAT Fieldbus protocol to standard bus terminal modules, converting Ethernet 100BASE-TX messages into a fieldbus-independent terminal module bus.

Connection Technology
The BK1120 features two RJ45 ports: the upper interface connects to the network, while the lower interface connects to other EtherCAT devices in the same network segment.
Power Distribution
The coupler operates with 24 V system and field power supply. Communication current for subsequent bus terminal modules comes from the system power supply, with power contacts supplying up to 10A to each I/O component.
Installation Guidelines
In EtherCAT networks, the BK1120 coupler can be installed anywhere in the Ethernet signal transmission segment (100BASE-TX), but not directly on the switch.
