When the connecting rod is working, it is subject to three kinds of forces, the gas pressure from the piston, the inertia force of the piston parts and the connecting rod itself (small head), and the inertia force of the connecting rod itself when it swings around the piston pin at variable speed. The size and direction of these forces are cyclical changes, so the connecting rod is subjected to compression, tension and lateral bending and other alternating stresses. Once the connecting rod or connecting rod bolt breaks, it may cause a major accident that destroys the whole machine. If the stiffness is not enough to make the big head hole deformed out of round, it will cause the cylinder and piston of the bias grinding, causing the elimination of gas and oil. Therefore, the connecting rod is required to be as light as possible to ensure sufficient strength and stiffness.
