430 stainless steel brushed plate sheets are a common brushed finish found on kitchen appliances and backsplashes. The 430 Stainless Steel plate sheet #4 finish has a PVC membrane on one side to help prevent scratching during fabrication and installation. Our 430 stainless steel metal sheets meet #3 and #4 finish standards.
430 stainless steel sheet metal is a slightly lower grade than the 300 series and is typically used in applications where the metal requires a magnet to hold it in place.

The 430 Stainless Steel Plate sheet #4 finish is slightly more susceptible to corrosion because the 430 Stainless Steel Brushed Plate sheet does not contain nickel or molybdenum like the 300 series. Common uses for 430 Brushed Stainless Steel Sheet #4 are automotive trim, kitchen appliances, sinks, decorative trim, and any other application that requires stainless steel to hold the magnets in place. This metal can attract magnets, but it cannot act as a magnet.
